Summary

Former Navy SEAL Randy Hetrick made the first version of the popular suspension trainer, TRX, during a deployment in 1997. The veteran went on to perfect his design, conquer Stanford business school, and eventually pile his savings into launching the company. But he faced a huge #hurdlemoment in 2010, when counterfeiters started to sell a rip-off of his product on Amazon. In episode 25, we talk about the legal battle that ensued to get those listings taken down, the way the TRX team regularly incorporates movement regularly at their San Francisco headquarters, and the advice he’d offer to anyone who feels like they’re starting at square one over and over again.

And around mile five, she was asking me, what do you think you want your time

to be for this one? And it's funny because I haven't really thought about it, I guess. It brings me

0:45.6

back to the conversation I had with Women's Health Editor-in-Chief Liz Ploser. And we were saying that we

0:50.7

both kind of have two goals when it comes to running races. There's like the goal

0:55.0

that you're kind of public about, that you tell your friends, and then there's this kind of

1:00.1

more secret goal that you keep in your back pocket that maybe you only talk to yourself about

1:05.0

when you're alone, in your apartment. I don't know. I mean, my personal record, PR, is 351.41. And yeah, I'd love to

1:15.8

see something faster than that this time around. But I also just want to have a good time and

1:20.8

enjoy it and soak in the city because the day is so special. I'm just going to do my best and

I can't believe it's finally here. A quick shout

out to the sponsor of today's episode, Athletic Greens. When life is super hectic like right now

leading up to race day, I look forward to my morning routine more than ever and it certainly
