Neil Siddaka was born on March 13, 1939.

He grew up in Brighton Beach in Brooklyn, a stone throw from the Coney Island amusement there in New York.

By the time he was eight years old, he'd already become training at classical piano,

as part of the Children's Division of the Juilliard School of Music, and at 16 he was voted one of the best

emerging pianists from New York's high school system and although he remains
