So for those of you who are homeowners, I'm sure that you've had that experience where the

place that you live, the place that you love, every so often starts to feel like it's a bit of

a money pit. And that's how I have been feeling the past

week or so. I've had this issue where the air conditioning in my house didn't seem to be

working which was problematic because it's been about

85 90 degrees in our area and I called the AC folks who I've had on speed dial

for about as long as I've owned the house. They came over and they told me it wasn't actually an air conditioning issue. It was a high ceiling issue, believe it or not. The temperatures just got so hot, the hot air was rising, and when

you took the temperature, which our AC guy did at the top of my son's bedroom and compared

it to the temperature on the floor of my son's bedroom there was about a 10 degree difference.

I mean it was just astonishing and so this very nice AC guy who could have said to me well we better put in a second unit

instead said to me you need a ceiling fan or an attic fan and so today when I

left to come to the studio I left the contractor who I have on speed dial,

installing an attic fan that I hope will solve the problem.

But it's just one of those things that seems like it keeps on going.

And if you're not as fortunate as I am to have both the trustee AC guy and the contractor on speed dial, sometimes you don't know

where to turn.
