Hey everybody, welcome to the Cripes cast presented by Jolly Good. I'm your

host Charlie Barron's and this week my guest is Brian Anderson. You know

him as the Milwaukee Brewers played-by-play, but he also calls games for the NCA, the

NBA, Celebrity Golf tournaments, a bunch of other stuff. He's also, and I found this out during the interview,

Brian is the voice of NBA 2K21, next gen, which I have to admit I've never played.

Is that even out yet? Maybe it's not out yet, that's why I've never played it. But even if it was out, I probably wouldn't

play it because I am terrible at video games. I'll be honest with you, the only game I'm really competent in is Duck Hunt. Not many people play that anymore unfortunately but if anybody

knows of a good duck hunt tournament count me in. Now what I liked about my

conversation with Brian is you know yes we talked about sort of the

specifics of announcing and I kind of have a similar career path, you know, coming up in the news broadcaster world and how you have to change your voice a little bit and use your voice as kind of an instrument and find all the nuances in it.

Of course he is using his voice currently as a very professional announcer.

I'm using mine, you know, to give an accurate representation to the place I'm from folks.

Okay, real good. But there is a lot of similarities in there, but more importantly there

are these larger things that Brian is just very

knowledgeable in like and that's very relatable to everybody like

comparative thinking you know in this social media age all we can do is compare ourselves to other people but

Brian really goes into how damaging that is you know is damaging for him

before social media and now with social media it's a trap that we can all find ourselves falling into.
