Summary

I recently sat down with my good friend and frequent podcast guest Simon Freeman, the co-founder and publisher of my favorite running magazine, Like The Wind, for our third quarterly conversation of 2025, which you can listen to wherever you get the morning shakeout podcast. An excerpt of this exchange can be found in Issue #46 of LtW, which comes out this week. (You can buy a copy or subscribe here.)

In this episode we discuss the importance of surrounding yourself with good people in running, business, and life.

Hey, everyone. After what feels like a very long hiatus, it's your host, Mario Frioli. We are back with a fresh episode of the podcast. It's my third quarterly conversation of 2025 with Like the Wind magazine co-founder Simon Freeman. And here, as always, to set this one up with me is my right-hand man, Chris Douglas. Chris, welcome back to the morning shakeout podcast for, we'll just say the umpteenth time. Yeah, happy to be back. Always happy to be on the pod with you, Mario. All right. We're going to set this one up, and I will let you take the lead on it. Yeah, so I always feel like I'm in a privileged position where I get to listen to these episodes before they go live. I think, you know, one of the themes that I thought was really interesting was leaning in on an idea of, like, teams and support crews and how that really supports not just runners, but kind of like, you know, your business, Simon's business and everything else.
