Katie is out this week with an ear infection.

That's not a joke.

She actually has an ear infection like a toddler.

Instead, I'm joined by a friend of the pod who, like me, will be denied Katie's presence at the cult gathering we are headed to

down in Savannah shortly Kat are you all packed uh yes I am fully fully packed the fun thing about

these cult gatherings is you never know really what's going to happen and so I've been sort of

planning like a deranged prepper I've got seven pairs of jeans, one evening gown, one vinyl Zentai suit,

and an eight pack of hot dogs. I think I'm ready. Frozen or fresh hot dogs? Fresh?

Kobe beef, actually. It's the only way to fly. The only thing I packed is a lightweight but

effective beekeeper suit, because I think that'll work in any situation,

if anything arises. They have a lot of bees down there, I feel like. A lot of bees.

Yeah, I think they do, actually. I think everyone knows who you are, but remind the people.

I'm Kat Rosenfield. I am a culture writer at the free press. Also tend to moonlight at other, I don't know,

heterodox outlet now? It is. I mean, I think so.
