Anyway, get ready for three hours of history of Venice talk. Only three hours?

You're holding back. You're holding out in us. So our spoiler warning, as always, prepare to be

spoiled for all five A Song of Ice and Fire novels, all three Duncan Egg novellas, any histories, any

interviews, any winds of winter sample chapters, as well as Game of Thrones

and House of the Dragon, the TV shows so far. Anything and everything. So, we always answer a

question from one of our patrons, one of our sworn sword or higher tier patrons over at the

Patreon at the top of our Song of Ice and Fire episodes. Today, though, we're just going to highlight a

couple of comments we got.

Both of them are on our most recent Breanne episode, our episode on Brion's first chapter on a Feast for Crows. Comment from Sir Eric. Shadrick reminds me of Uthor Underleaf,

another unimpressive-looking, but trued hedge knight. Both characters have the appellation of a small

animal, mouse and a snail, respectively,

and they serve to inform Brienne and her ancestor dunk, respectively, of how little they understand of their current situation.

I like the idea that Shadrick had heard stories of Littlefingers' duel for Catalan,

or perhaps even witnessed it, and made a connection no one else did,

that Peter Baylish is the one person in the seven kingdoms

...
