One of the things I talk about sometimes is my personal filter.

You know, I talk off the cuff,

don't have much in the way of notes, don't really have any kind of script. So I just sort of get on

here and just sort of talk. And I do try to be careful about making sure I don't say the wrong thing.

You know, because listen, I would certainly have the potential of saying the wrong thing if you

let me go on too long.

So I try to like put my words through a filter to make sure I don't say something that later on I, you know, regret or get caught in the principal's office floor or something along those lines.

Try to be careful about stuff like that just because we love what we do around here.

We don't want to create any kind of unnecessary distractions.

Sometimes the filter doesn't work quite as well as it does other days.

And I sort of feel like there's a version of that for Kirby Smart too.

And this is a very human thing.

I think we all kind of understand this, which is when you've had time to cool down after a game,

in fact, in the NFL places like that where the locker room is open for media, there is a period of time in which the locker room is not going to be open because it is the so-called cool down period where you're giving the players a chance to kind of catch their breath before they speak to reporters because who knows what they would say in the absolute heat of the moment just after a game. And I think for the coaches, it's the same kind of deal.

You know, you let Kirby Smart have some time to talk to his players in the postgame

locker room, kind of catch his breath and maybe just sort of reflect on his thoughts for a moment.

By the time you get him in a post-game press conference situation, he's pretty tame by that point.
