If you're about my age, you grew up with two legendary figures around Georgia football that at times took on kind of a similar tone ahead of games.

Obviously, Larry Munson, and listen, you can't be my age or around my age,

and not have been shaped the way that you think about Georgia football,

shaped by the way that Munson used to talk about the team.

He was just such a

towering figure in our lives back then. And you remember how it was that whoever Georgia was

playing was always the greatest team of all time. And Georgia somehow was going to have to

fight, scratch and claw and hope for all, as he would call her old lady luck to kind of help out there.

That was always his way of talking about Georgia football.

And as a kid, gosh, it just made me so nervous all the time because, you know,

Munson had me thinking we were playing the 85 Bears, no matter who it was that Georgia was playing.

And the legendary coach Vince Dooley was a little bit like that too.

Sort of the classic old school coach,

always sort of talking up the opponent, never bragging on yourself. And that's just kind of the

mindset, the mold that old coaches sort of find themselves in. And so therefore, once again,

you listen to Coach Dooley, and obviously we miss him so much all the time, but especially for

weeks like this.

But the point is, you listen to Coach Dooley, you're scared to death as a kid of whoever Georgia is playing because he's got so much respect for everything they're doing.
