We are kind of in a little bit of a new era for the SEC here this year, and that's true for a lot of reasons, but in this particular case, I'm talking about a release each week by every team going into SEC games, unlike what we've seen before. This has existed in the NFL for a long time, but it's never been a thing in college football. I'm talking about the availability reports.

This is where we get an idea of how likely certain players are to play for Georgia in a given game.

This is only true when the SEC takes on the SEC in a conference game.

But even in a couple of weeks worth of this type of stuff, I think it's already proven

to be at least a little bit different of a thing than I thought that it would be. When we first

got the announcement that this was indeed going to happen, it seems like it had been kind of a

long time coming. Most of this has sort of curtail the desire to seek

out inside information from a gambling standpoint. That's kind of the, I think the sort of story behind

the story on this. That's really really the reason why this stuff exists at the NFL level.

And college kind of presumably sort of doing the same type of thing here to sort of curtail the

market for some of the inside information as it relates to injuries that gamblers might do

whatever they could to seek out trying to maybe head some of that off at the past.

But the point is, I think we also sort of thought that the notoriously secret Kirby Smart,

guy who doesn't reveal too much information,

would be very careful to make his, you know, availability report, sometimes you hear it

called an injury report.

It's not quite what it is.
