Randy's House of Angels is a foundation dedicated to stopping the vicious cycle of domestic violence, starting with the children.

The organization was founded by Nancy Chavez, who lost her daughter to domestic violence and Nancy is determined to make a difference through Randy's legacy.

Thank you to one of our listeners, Crystal, for suggesting this case. I hadn't heard it and I really want to focus on Randy and her legacy in this episode.

There was a recent investigation discovery series that featured Randy's story, but it wasn't focused on Randy at all.

The description of the episode was quote, the story of Brian and Randy Trimble, whose marriage takes the ultimate hit after he and a co-worker, Blaine Norris, partner on a low budget horror movie.

Oh, I know it struck them out. Yeah, and it's a very tragic story and the way that they framed it is like all of that.

It's like someone lost their life. Like why are you focusing on the perpetrator? Yeah, yeah.

And Randy's mother Nancy wishes that that show never aired. I hate that.

Me too. It's awful when the family members know that aren't involved, but then don't want to don't want it to go be aired and put it out there.

And then they like, they trick on my feel like in a lot of cases because they'll say, oh, this is the, you know, this is the storyline.

This is what we're going to focus on and then it comes out and it's like totally different than what they anticipated. Yeah.

So today I'm going to tell you the story of Randy Trimble's murder and talk about her legacy.

Before we get into the story, I want to tell you guys a little bit more about Randy's house of angels.

It aids children traumatized by domestic violence and I will link their website in the show notes and I highly recommend that you guys check it out because Nancy has worked so hard to found this organization and create resources and really make a difference with her daughter's legacy and it's very impressive.

According to the website, Randy was an only child who loved life.

As a kid, she loved to tap dance and was the champion Tumblr in her gymnastics class.

No, she was a forager, a brownie, and a girl scout and she played flute, which I was like, heck yeah, because I played flute.

She also loved musicals and her mom remembered her marching around the room singing songs from music man and Greece.
