Boy, how's this for Downbeat as a start? Hi everybody. Welcome to the thing before the show gets started for real. This is Luke. Andrew is over there in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle.

Rolling, not a bird. Not bad actually. Not a bad kid would Lee. So here's something. Yes, it sounds like we both just woke up on Labor Day because we both just woke up on Labor Day.

0:41.0

Your ears do not deceive you friends. And what we're lacking in energy and enthusiasm and something that could be described as professionalism.

0:51.0

We're making up for in actually doing this on actual Labor Day. This is we're not even supposed to be here today. See if this was a real work day, I would have taken the time to get that audio drop from clerks, but instead.

1:07.0

No, union rules. No drops on Labor Day, I believe. So here we are. We're going to play a best stuff coming up in a minute. We don't want to just say hi to everybody though. And thank you for for downloading the show on the holiday.

Oh, man, Walshki, we don't have time what we do, but we don't want to get into it. My back is my back is giving me some shrubs. Last night I was driving home from we had a family get together at my sister Hannah's house.

And it was like, my whole like left side, my arm was going completely numb. Oh, wait, hold on. What did Dr. say? That's usually a good sign when the left arm goes numb.

1:46.0

And did anything precipitate it? Luke, this is actually serious biz. It's just like a weird little back spasm that I've been having. It's been popping up here and there. But does it have anything to do with the fact that the air has cooled off in the past couple of days.

Since I've been gone, I told Vives, I feel like emotionally we left Seattle for a two day trip at the end of summer and we came back in the fall at the start of fall.

2:14.0

And I know that your live, you know, your whole, all of your seasons are about to begin. Things are you're going to start buckling down. I find it hard to believe that that is not in some way kind of related on a subconscious level to maybe your body stiffening up a little bit.

2:28.0

Interesting. So you think this is a stress thing more than a like barometric pressure. You know how like an old-hound dog will feel storm coming. Right, right, right.

2:37.0

Stascio nut. If it were me, that's what I would think. Usually during times when I'm kind of like, oh, now I'm ramping up. I got a bunch of projects I got to do or something. Of course, now I'm just making it worse on you.

2:49.0

But if I have a bunch of projects or something, then you know, or something that is kind of a little bit stressful, that is when I will find it myself spasming over the back.

2:59.0

Yeah, that could be it. I think I've got a low level of anxiety that's going to build to a high level of anxiety as the week goes on because I'm going to Chicago this week, which doesn't really stress me out.

3:10.0

It just means there's a few more moving parts for this show. I'm going to be doing wait, wait, don't tell me. Then what really has me stressed is I got to come right back to Seattle and on Saturday night.

3:19.0

We're doing live wire there. Oh, BT Dubs. If you're in the Seattle area, you ought to come by, please. Paul F. Tompkins will be there. Matthew Inman, aka the oatmeal.

3:29.0

And music from devil makes three. A woman named heaven. Negatu will be there as well. She does a podcast for Buzzfeed.

3:37.0

So that thing is stressing me out. Muteo. Don't I'm going to be in the audience. Don't let that stress you out at all. Like I'm sure that actually, no, that takes my stress away. That take my stress away.

3:50.0

Famous song by Berlin. I know that will make me feel better, because I can I know looking out in the audience if like you see me slump over.

4:00.0

Because you know, you are in the line of succession. You're the next host of live wire just by doing me as well as you do. I thought you meant that I was going to put the, put the paddles on your chest and yell, Paul. No, you're going to push me out of the hosting chair.

4:13.0

And not unlike whatever this nightmare key for Sutherland show they keep advertising is you're the lone survivor. Oh, no. If I go down, I love it. Now I just gave you a stress.
