Gay would like to know how all of us use the cancelling of the Dr. Seuss books to our

advantage.

It might have been just a step too far and conservative, they're all furious.

I thought at the time and I still think it's true that if you contrast getting rid of

Dr. Seuss with building the fence at Fort Pelosi and you were to say okay we're going

to have two sets of candidates.

One set of candidates wants to tear down the fence and protect Dr. Seuss.

The other set of candidates want to tear down Dr. Seuss and protect the fence.

My guess is that the pro-Seuss anti-Fence people would win by a huge margin.

One of the things I hope that the House Republicans will do and I urge all of you to call your

Congressmen and talk to them about it is I hope that they will introduce two bills,

one to protect Dr. Seuss, the other to tear down the fence.

Under House rules, once the bills are put in there for a certain number of days, you've

taken to what's called a discharge petition and if members sign the discharge petition

if you get 218 to sign it, you then bring it to the floor.
