She also has cystic acne, psoriasis and other skin issues that improved when she changed her lifestyle Stacy had bad acne and Finian has bad eczema before paleo. We recommend watching what you eat and what you use and what you put on for reactions. You can definitely see reactions when you track them! Sarah can't eat eggs without break outs while Stacy can't eat nightshades or corn Question from Katie: "Most of my AI symptoms have shown great improvement from my dietary changes. My energy is great, my joint pain has subsided, I've lost over 30 lbs, and my inflammation has gone down so I can wear my wedding ring for the first time in a few years. But...My psoriasis has gotten significantly worse! It is now on my face and is on my eyelids and under my eyes. It is also all over the back of my neck and my scalp is terrible. It is so painful and itchy. My integrative dr suggested calendula ointment which helps temporarily. Since you had psoriasis I thought you might have some other suggestions. I really do believe I am on the right path with AIP but desperate to find relief for this! Thank you!" Sarah says that it took 10 months to see psoriasis improve. And that certain aspects really helped: organ meats, vegetables, stress reduction, sleep improvement and probiotics. Retinoic acid (Vitamin A), and Vitamin D are important for skin health. These are fat soluble vitamins obtained from meat and especially organ meats Certain amino acids like arginine and glutamine are great for repairing skin. Vitamin C helps build collagen and fixes skin damage Zinc helps with the immune system Bromelaine helps reduce bruising and swelling and healing skin. Gut health is super important for skin issues as well. Especially soil based probiotics (Go play in the dirt!). Skin is a low priority organ for your body.
