Let's listen to our stories, guys. Yeah. Welcome back guys. So excited. First of all, I apologize if you hear my dogs fighting in the background.

Normally I would pick them out, but this is a listener stories episode and it's a little more laid back in Lucy, Lucy. So they're just going to I don't want to kick them out because then I have to worry about them getting into stuff and you know it's just a whole thing. So yeah.

And so with that being said, I just wanted to say something really quick. So we got an email from one of our listeners saying that we talk about pregnancy and therapy too much and that they don't like to listen to our listener story. So you might want to skip this one if you're listening today.

Yeah. And honestly, listener stories aren't for everyone and that's totally fine. And we try to keep the like banter to a minimum on our regular episodes, but listener stories kind of have a little bit more fun. So if that's not your thing, that's fine.

Yeah, that's totally fine. We get to kind of showcase our personalities and our personal lives a little bit better over here. But yeah, if it's not your jam, feel free to skip it. We're not butt hurt.

Yeah. All right. So let's jump into the first listener story. And this one is from Christie D. Hi, Christie.

I recently started listening to a human podcast and it has easily become my favorite. I love the way.

I love the way the two of you tell each story with respect and compassion. You're truly honoring each victim now to my story.

Oh, that means so much. Thank you. It does. My dad's older sister passed away in a car accident before I was born. Almost it almost an exact year, three days before her first death anniversary, I was born.

Oh, wow. My parents named me after her. When I was about one, my grandparents decided to sell their house. The last house my lay aunt had lived in before her passing.

My dad had grown up there. So my parents decided to buy the house. My late aunt's room became my room. I was a pretty self-sufficient kid and entertained myself well. So I played in my room a lot.

My parents would hear me talking in my room and I just and just assumed I was talking to myself. This went on for a while. And after some time they came into my room and asked, who are you talking to?

I looked at them super confused and said, Aunt Christie, don't you see her? Oh my gosh. My parents were obviously taken aback and a little bit scared. They showed me a picture that had been taken not long before her passing and asked if this is who I was talking to. I said no.

Oh, at this point, they are more scared because who or what was I talking to? I'm probably like two or three at this point. So they knew I wasn't making up a story or something. And not long after this, we went to my grandparents to visit.

They had just hung a huge picture that is a collage of my late aunt's life.

There is a picture in the bottom right corner where my aunt was probably around six or seven. I walked over to the picture, unprompted and told them this is who I have been talking to.

That's what I was going to say. I wonder if it's like the younger version of her playing with you. Oh my gosh.

My family thought her spirit had come to me, but in child form, maybe so I wouldn't be frightened or felt more comfortable. Yeah, that is so sweet.

I don't know when I stopped seeing her, but I believed it stopped because one, I was getting older and they say our minds become less open to things.

And two, she didn't want to keep the doorway open for other things to have access. That makes a lot of sense. Yeah.
