Here's your host, Brandon Adam. We are jam-packed and fully loaded today, as we have been all week long. Of course, it's Terrence Edwards, our normal Thursday guest coming up in a moment. Thrill to have him as part of the show. But also before we're done, about 50 minutes from right now, I guess is about the best way to say this. About 50 minutes from right now, Brad Nestler, who will call this game for CBS on Saturday. He'll join us.

0:40.5

He'll preview the dogs and the crimson tie. But he'll also talk about the feeling of the final game

0:45.9

ever for the SEC on CBS, truly the end of an era on Saturday. We'll talk to Brad Nessler about that

0:53.8

coming up at 1050 this morning.

Here, prior to that, I want to sort of talk about this game this way. I think that the player in

1:05.1

Saturday's game that to me is probably the most interesting and the most compelling is on the

1:10.3

Alabama side, and that's Dallas

1:11.8

Turner. Now, I believe this is true for two reasons. One of these very kind of tangible on the

1:16.9

field, the impact you can make for the Crimson Tide, and one of these is a little bit more

1:21.7

intangible. I believe in some respects Turner sort of represents the symbolic meaning of this game. I think most of us have a

1:29.1

sense this week that there's something going on here in Saturday that sort of transcends a regular

1:33.9

football game. For the last two years, we've seen Georgia play championship type games,

1:38.8

postseason type games with a chance to advance towards a national championship. Georgia's been

1:42.8

able to win the last two national

1:44.3

championships, of course, as you know, but not all those games have the same meaning. No one can deny

1:49.3

that this year's SEC championship has a lot more meaning, I think we would say, than last year's

1:54.9

SEC championship did against LSU. And this goes beyond just the fact that this year's version of the

1:59.5

Crimson Tide is probably better than last year's version of LSU. In a moment, the presence of Dallas Turner in this game, I think helps us explain that. We'll get to that. But first, let me kind of start with the value of Turner as a player. Really effective, really potentially dominant pass rusher, I believe.

2:20.4

You can make the case that he's the best, I believe I'm right when I say this,
