This week's guest represented the USA in the marathon at the 1984 Olympics on Los Angeles

and the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, finishing 11th and 14th respectively.

A two-time winner of the San Francisco Marathon, his most famous victory came at the 1984 U.S. Olympic trials, where he overtook Alberto Salazar in the final mile.

His wife Christine represented New Zealand at the 1988 Olympics and as PBs of
