case. I don't think we have anything we need to discuss or update. Yeah, I don't think so either. I don't her and the like negative ones because it's it can be tough. It can be rough. Yeah, it can and I'm sorry that you have you know have to see that sometimes. Okay, honestly, I usually just laugh at it. Yeah, yeah. All right. Without further ado, let's jump into today's case. 27 year old Kean McLaughlin went missing from the Grand Teton National Park on June 8th of 2021.

This area will likely sound familiar to some of you because this is the same location where Gabby Petito went missing and her body later recovered. Yeah, Kean was embarking on a solo hike on the Lupine Medo Trail system that leads towards Garnett Canyon and Delta Lake. And this is like a high activity area. I mean, there's people hiking in this area. It's a very popular national park for tourists to visit and like yeah.

Lots of hiking scene next stuff like there's a lot. It's supposed to be really beautiful. I've never been. I know I want to like part of me like once to go because I love I've never really gone that like in that area. I'll list.

But at the same time part of me is like kind of jaded. I feel like yeah, because there's a lot of negative stuff that's happening. Yeah, and that's really I mean, the sides from like it being beautiful. That's really all I know about it. Yeah, you know, but not so great. Yeah, I mean, this case and now this one. Yeah.

Yeah, at the time of his disappearance, Kean was working as a waiter during the summer months and as a snowboard instructor at a ski resort during the winter in Jackson, Wyoming.

But he was from Ireland and had a dual citizenship, both there and in the US. Oh, super cool. Yeah, that's awesome. Yeah.

Yeah, Kean grew up in South Dublin and attended new park comprehensive secondary school in Black Rock. He is the only child of his mothers, Granya McLaughlin.

According to Kean's family and friends, he was quite friendly and enjoyed getting to know new people. He loved traveling, playing music, going on adventures and being outdoors.

Kean was rather familiar with the trails and grantee time and he spent a lot of time there during the time he'd been living in Wyoming, which some sources say he had been there for about a year and then other sources say two years.

So I don't know if that's just like because he's been missing this long or if it's like he was there for a year and then since he's been missing, I don't really know.

Despite this, Grand Teton is vast. Even the most experienced hiker can go missing there. It is 310 acres of mountainous land with several lakes and rivers and the terrain is extremely steep and rough in areas.

On the morning of his disappearance, Kean attempted to face time with his mother who was back in Ireland. He also texted with a few friends and everyone claimed that he seemed in good spirits. Nothing seemed out of the normal.

There was no red flags or anything like that. Okay, so like no reason to believe that like he would do anything or like disappear purposefully. Right.

Exactly. Right. When Kean did not report for work on Monday morning, June 10th, his family and friends knew something must be wrong. And he was reported missing two days later on June 12th.

Immediately, a wide-scale search for him began. His mother, Grania, her partner and his uncle, Column O'Higgins arrived in Wyoming to help with the search efforts.

The investigation team spoke with over 140 people with tips and information about Kean. Up to 70 park staff per day helped in conducting searches in the Teton backcountry with the help of multiple search and rescue dog teams.
