Have to confess, we are not in great moods today, a little less sleep than normal, and not for a great reason.

We saw the Braves

summarily dismissed from the playoffs last night by the hated Philadelphia Phillies. Just a

totally listless, lifeless performance from a team that we've expected to bring nothing but energy

because it has all season long. So we're going to try to shift gears away from that and turn

the page away from that. Obviously there'll be plenty of time for anybody who wants to to kind of figure out what went wrong there. But we're going to try to distract you from that if you are a Braves fan by talking about what's right with the Georgia Bulldogs. Now a lot of that's going to be related to Georgia on the field against Vanderbilt on Saturday. We'll get to that here coming up at a moment, including what I think is the one big unanswered question for Georgia against Vanderbilt, not going to lay out some of this here coming up in just a moment. Prior to that, though, can we sort of do something just for fun because we sort of need some fun on a day like this? Many of you know that each week now, Nick Sabin, and what I believe is sort of a

precursor to retirement, makes an appearance in the Pat McAfee show. Sabin's become very media

friendly here in kind of the winter of his career, you know, seemingly on ESPN all the time.

We used to jokingly call him Stephen A. Sabin because it seems like he was just on ESPN every

time you turned around. And now he literally is on each and every week with Pat McAfee. This is, you know,

Saban's attempt to be sort of hip and relevant and, you know, kind of, you know, I guess in the cultural zeitgeist, I guess, if you want to say it that way. At least that's what I sort of, sort of a seem, makes it seem like it looks like.

And Saban also has a way seemingly of trying to insert himself into every college football

story.

You know, Dion Sanders is a big deal.

Well, here's Nick Saban doing a TV commercial with Dion Sanders.

Like whatever seems to be going on in college football, Saban somehow finds a way to kind of

insert himself into that story.

And obviously, biggest game of the weekend is out in the Pacific Northwest where Oregon gets ready to take on Washington. And the winner of this game, we would say emerges as a true, legitimate playoff contender in what is a very fun final year for the PAC 12. So with that in mind, you know, the Oregon, Washington game, I guess, came up when Nick Saban was making his weekly appearance to Pat McAfee.
