So, you know, back when we sort of conceived of the podcast, right? I think we had some very specific goals that we set out and one of them, or a couple of of them were we weren't going to sort of just

talk about whatever was happening in the news or on Twitter each day and we were

going to try to do, you know, in-depth explorations of things that we had, you know, studied and thought about quite carefully in the law.

We were not going to be, you know, three bros rambling extemporaneously

about the day's news without any particular insights.

I don't know that we've held to that mission in every case.

Yeah.

Bringing me aboard was probably not the best move on that result.

I tell you in the case of this episode we're definitely we're gonna stray entirely from that mission

we're fucking winging it yeah we spent we spent all election just absolutely not talking

about any lawsuits none of that stuff and now

here's just an off-the-cuff episode about the protest that happened almost two weeks ago

over two weeks ago. I mean like everybody I think we watched the events of January 6th the tragic events of January 6th with a

combination of bemusement and potentially horror.

I was actually I was completely anxious and sanctimonious on Twitter the entire time every single joke on Twitter.

I made sure I linked to just a picture of a minority or a disabled person.

I said you're making fun of them in a very inscrutable attempt to guilt people into feeling

emotions.

It's not entirely clear that I was feeling in the first place.
