Hi, my friends, and welcome to the second episode of Real Cool History for Kids.

I hope you're ready for an exciting story today.

This story is about someone, well, I consider to be one of the most amazing people in history. I love this story. So I'm excited to tell you about it. Before I tell you

the story, I want for all of us to stop for just a moment and think a few thoughts that maybe a little bit

deeper and maybe a little bit different

than what we would usually think, okay? Have you ever noticed that we humans are always looking

for joy? We may call it happiness, but we are looking for happiness and joy. In fact, we often get a little

worried or maybe even a lot worried when we feel like we've been sad for too long. Although it's

normal for us to feel other feelings besides joy and happiness, that's the one we want the most,

right?

This longing for joy is something that we are all born with.

Did you know that?

Every human being is born longing for joy.

But did you know that joy isn't really a feeling? Joy is the result of faith. It comes to us when we believe the

truth about God and what he says about us. When we don't believe in God or what he says about us,

well, we're never going to have that joy.

We're never going to have peace or hope. We may be happy for a while, but it won't last long. In fact, it will probably change to something else, as soon as something bad or sad happens. This is the lesson that our story's

hero learned. So let's get started with Jack's story. In the year 1914, something happened to
