Good morning and welcome to the Increased Rain Pack podcast. I'm Justin Sua, episode 1,849. In 2022, Tiger Woods was inducted to the World Golf Hall of Fame. And he gave a speech that was supposed to be about seven minutes and he was supposed to read it from a teleprompter,

but it actually went on for 17 minutes and he gave the speech without any notes.

And one of the things he said in the speech that really impacted me that I want to share with you

today is this, quote, if you don't go out there

and put in the work, if you don't go out there and put in the effort, one, you're not going to

get the results. And two, more importantly, you don't deserve it. You need to earn it. Close quote.

And the reason I really like that is because a lot of times we forget or

we underestimate how important preparation is and how important it is to be fully present when

you prepare. Every shot, every lift, every every rep everything you do well you're collecting and building

this library that this pool of certainty so that when it's time to perform you can have peace of mind

knowing that you did everything you could to be ready. You know you deserve and you earned the

peace of mind because you put in the reps. You went out there and you put in the work like Tiger said.

You put in the effort because if you don't, you can get lucky a couple of times. You might be able to

get lucky more than a couple of times.

But at the end, if you're not putting in the reps, the quality, purposeful practice,

then you're not going to be able to sustain excellence at the clip that you probably want to and to perform at the best, at the best level, at the highest level, at the best out there.

And this is not just for athletes. is for students for business professionals for leaders of any kind so i'll read the quote

one more time if you don't go out there and put in the work if you don't go out and put in the effort

one you're not going to get the results and more importantly, you don't deserve it.

You need to earn it.
