| 0:05.0 | episode 1,7001. Today we're talking about the importance of surrounding yourself with people who will |
| 0:12.6 | expose you to your blind spots. Now, there's something called the Jihari window, which essentially |
| 0:18.3 | states that there are things that you know that other people don't. |
| 0:22.7 | There are things that other people know about you that you don't know. |
| 0:26.9 | Now, one of the important things about knowing that is that you want to be exposed to those |
| 0:33.5 | things that other people know, but you are not aware of. Has this ever happened to you where |
| 0:39.1 | you go home after being out with friends and you look in the mirror and you have something, |
| 0:44.4 | food stuck on your teeth or something on your face and you're thinking yourself, why didn't |
| 0:48.2 | anybody tell me that I had food on my teeth? That's exactly what it's like when we have certain things, certain behaviors we do, |
| 0:56.6 | certain character flaws that we have that we would more than be happy to change if we only |
| 1:04.3 | knew about it. |
| 1:05.6 | But people around us might be afraid to give us that feedback. |
| 1:08.8 | So you want to surround yourself with people who will |
| 1:11.4 | help you point out those things about you, those blind spots that you might have. And so if you have a |
| 1:18.5 | friend or family member who you trust, today my invitation to you is to go up to them and ask them, |
| 1:24.4 | hey, is there anything that I might not know about myself that I can change, I could |
| 1:30.9 | adjust, I could do more of, I could she do less of, and be humble about it because what they tell |
| 1:37.2 | you might not be easy to digest at first, but if you truly know that the other person has your |
| 1:43.9 | best interest in mind, you will |
| 1:46.1 | know that at the end of the day, they're trying to help you rather than hurt you. |
| 1:52.0 | Hopefully this helps. Please share with anyone who you think could enjoy or use it. |
