2,099. Today we're talking about a topic that might be near and dear to many of your hearts,

and there may be somebody listening to this today where this is particularly true. You're just

having one of those days where everything is just loud. It's just

loud. The text are coming in fast. People are asking you for things. Players are the people

you're leading are off. You're behind on your schedule. You're behind on your deadlines.

And even though you're trying to stay composed,

inside you are spinning, you're swimming. And it's just one of those days. For some of you,

it's one of those weeks. And when that happens, the natural instinct is to chase the noise.

I got to fix this. I got to fix that. I got to respond to every problem,

every question, every little fire. You start reacting instead of leading, instead of responding on

purpose with purpose, as we always talk about. But the truth is, you don't need to match the noise.

The response should be returning to what's clear.

To take a step back and ask yourself, what do I believe in even when things aren't going

well? Why do I do what I do? What kind of leader do I want to be today?

The answer to those questions are your anchors.

Because when things get chaotic, clarity cuts through the fog.

You don't need a perfect plan.

You don't need to solve everything.

You just need one steady step at a time and reconnect to who you really are and what you

stand for and that's usually enough to reset the tone and when you reset the tone for yourself

it not only resets you but it resets everybody else around you all the other people that you're leading
