2007. I recently heard this story about Sherlock Holmes and it comes from the book of

The Adventure of Silver Blaze. Now, Holmes is solving a case of this missing racehorse and a murdered trainer.

And he ended up figuring it out.

And the way he figured it out is because he learned that there was a dog that didn't bark.

Now that dog was the watchdog and it would have barked at a stranger but that night it didn't make a peep which

and that small detail of what didn't happen actually helped Sherlock Holmes unravel the

see and hear it's often about what's missing what's not just about what you see and hear. It's often about what's missing, what's not happening.
