| 0:00.0 | Good morning and welcome to the Increase Rain Pack podcast. I'm Justin Sua, episode 2032. Today we are |
| 0:07.4 | talking about quieting the noise. I recently heard this story of three frogs. They're stuck in a hole |
| 0:13.7 | and they're all trying to jump as high as they can to get out of this hole. Now at the top, |
| 0:19.1 | looking down on the frogs were other frogs, and they were talking |
| 0:23.8 | trash. They were saying, you can't do it, give up, you're not going to be able to make it. |
| 0:29.3 | So they're all jumping, and one frog just kept hearing the noise and hearing the doubters |
| 0:34.7 | and listening to the criticism, and then he ended up giving up. And then the second one, it was going and hearing the doubters and listening to the criticism and then he ended up giving up. |
| 0:38.9 | And then the second one, it was going and giving his best effort until he ended up giving up and just succumbing to the situation. |

| 0:51.7 | But the third frog just kept jumping and just kept jumping, and the noise and the criticism |
| 0:57.8 | from the other frogs just got louder and louder. |
| 1:00.9 | The closer he got, the more they yelled until finally he got out. |
| 1:05.5 | When they started to congratulate him and started to say, we couldn't believe that you did |
| 1:09.8 | that, they realized something |
| 1:11.7 | completely different that separated him from the other two. The third frog was deaf. |
| 1:19.4 | And so it's a silly little story, but I think it's a great little parable example of the power of |
| 1:25.5 | the outside voices. People who say you can't do something, people who try to hold |
| 1:33.7 | their limitations over your head. And they say you can't do something just because they haven't |
| 1:38.1 | been able to do something. And sometimes the criticism comes from a loving person who wants what's |
| 1:43.7 | best for you, who doesn't want to see you fail. |
| 1:48.2 | And so they encourage you not to do it because the probability of doing so are higher, the probability of higher of not succeeding than actually succeeding. |
| 1:57.9 | And so being like that third frog is being able to be immune to it, being able to have |
