Good morning and welcome to the Increasing Impact Podcast. I'm Justin Sua, episode 2011. I want to read

you a, I don't know if this is a poem or what this is, but it's entitled Growth. And I don't know who

the author is. But here it is. Quote, there is nothing wrong with slowness. All around you,

in nature, a billion different things move at a slow pace, just as they are

supposed to.

No flower is rushing to be somewhere else.

No wave is pushing its way to the shore before its time.

Even when the rain pours down quickly, it took time for that level of force to build up.

I hope you continue to crave change,

healing and transformation, and I hope you remember the soil beneath your feet. The sun shining above

you, the wind blowing around you. This is change too. This is meaningful too. Let the season be

what this season needs to be. Let it shape you how it needs to shape you. Trust. You don't have to spend every moment worried about your growth to know that you're still becoming who you were meant to be. There is no need to worry. You're growing even when you're not thinking about it, close quote. This message is for anyone out there who's

trying to rush the process. For you, my invitation, my suggestion would be to turn off the shot

clock. We've heard that video before. We've talked about that before.

Turn off the shot clock.

In basketball, there's a clock that ticks down, which gives you a certain amount of

seconds before you need to shoot the ball.

A lot of us have shot clocks in our lives.

Want to be married by this time, have this promotion by this time, have this goal by this time, whatever

it may be. And it induces panic and stress and poor decision making. Let's learn from this

and be reminded that we need to embrace slowness sometimes, to trust the process. And I love that

last sentence. You're growing even when you're not thinking about it. No need to embrace slowness sometimes to trust the process. And I love that last sentence.
