Ozzie's in my conversation with Marquise Bay. Marquise is an academic who has written several

books, including anarcho blackness, black trans feminism, and system failure, in which system

is spelled C-I-S-T-E-M. See what they did there. In today's episode, we talk about Marquise's new book,

Non-Binary Life, which comes out in April. Topics include Burner Genders and Bodega Genders,

teaching non-binary studies in prison, whether non-binary is bourgeois, and whether we should

just go ahead and abolish gender. I think ultimately where I would want to go from here is we don't have

pronouns, we don't have genders, and there's other things that we are more interested in talking about.
