original episode of this week because we put out the Tristan Bailey update on Monday,

which was kind of the bonus episode, but we wanted to get that out there as soon as possible.

And so that was there for you guys and then today is just your normal weekly episode.

Yeah.

It was January 31st, 1991, when the news in Channel View, Texas came out with a shocking

revelation. A local mother was arrested for hiring a hitman to try to get her daughter on the

local cheerleading squad. What? I was like taking that some way somewhere else.

Yep. Nothing like that had ever happened in this Houston community.

So how could a seemingly normal, friendly mom of a young girl have done something so heinous?

Well, let's get into it. I mean, I've heard that the dance and cheer world moms can be a little

intense, you know, which is like understandable, but this takes it to a whole new level.

Yeah. So for today, I wanted to do something a little bit lighter. Just, I've been feeling really

heavy this week with everything that's been going on. And it just feels like it just keeps

becoming more and more. So in this episode, nobody is murdered or even physically hurt. So

that's good. That's good. And this case is known to some as the Texas cheerleader murder mom

to some the pom pom mom. This is the story of Wanda Holloway.

So Wanda Webb was born in 1954 in Channel View, Texas. And her early upbringing was definitely not

all what's the term like ponies and roses or like what is that sunshine and butterflies sunshine

rainbows. I don't know. Yeah, it was never it wasn't the most the best early. Yeah.

Her father is described as repressive and conservative. So he definitely was kind of, you know,
