Hello? Hello, Sydney. What is up, you spooky bitches? We are back with another episode of the Hello Sydney podcast here, a podcast for horror lovers where we discuss any and all things horror. And it's me, your girl, Sydney. Happy Wednesday. Has anybody been watching anything lately? I feel like May is a huge month for horror. We got Hocum and then we got obsession and then we got Passenger, which Passenger is getting a lot of hate, but I watched it on Friday last week. And I actually had fun with it. I enjoyed it. I'm not going to sit here

and say it was great, but I think it was different. I think it was fresh. I think it's kind of a new

story that we hadn't really heard before. I like the idea of it and of being on a road trip and

like this evil entity following you. I had a fun time with passenger. And, and I honestly, personally, feel like a lot of

the dislike for it is that it's placed very badly, very poorly in the lineup. Like, that is the first

major horror movie to come out after Hocom and then Obsession, which obsession is the movie of

the year, which I've been saying since I saw it last September, I knew it would be the movie of

the year. And now I'm seeing everybody receive it so well, which I'm so happy about,

because I was nervous that people wouldn't see its greatness. But everybody's obsessed with

obsession, literally. So I feel like passenger coming out after that. I honestly feel like

that's a huge part of this because people are just on this high,

like riding this high from obsession, which I totally get because it absolutely is a high.

But let's not lose sight of the fact that not everything is going to be obsession.

Pretty much nothing is going to be obsession. To be honest, I don't foresee anything being obsession

in the near future unless it's something that Curry Barker

makes again. But maybe I'm way off base with that, but I do feel like that might be part of why

people aren't liking that movie because it is by no means a masterpiece. Like obsession is a

masterpiece. Passenger is by no means a masterpiece. But it's not the worst movie to come out.
