to have an amazing guest with me today.

I have Dr. Bobby Jean Switzer, who is an associate chair, is the associate chair, I'm sorry, of

perioperative clinical practice and a professor of anesthesiology at the

Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She's also the author of

what is pretty much the definitive textbook about pre-operative assessment

and management. It's actually called pre-operative assessment and management. It's a textbook

used incredibly widely around the world for people who are interested in doing really evidence-based, not only

pre-operative assessment, but also management of what they find in those pre-operative assessments.

And she's just a really illuminary in in this area and I'm really thrilled and

honor to have her on the show to talk about pre-operative assessment and

management especially for people coming in for ambulatory surgery. Dr.

Schweizer thank you so much for coming on the show.

introduction. I'm thrilled to be here. So you recently gave just an incredibly well- Grand Rounds here at Johns Hopkins on this topic and that's of course what led me to ask you if you'd be willing to do a podcast.
