Sydney. Happy Friday. Happy May. What has everybody been watching? What has everybody been up to? I watched

that deep water movie and I actually had fun with it. I'm a sucker for a shark movie. You guys know that. So like,

it literally doesn't matter what the shark movie is about. If there's a shark in it, I'm most

likely going to like it. So yeah, I really enjoyed deep water. I really enjoyed the shark movie.

If I sound weird today, it's because the allergies are kicking my ass. The pollen is just like inside me and I can't get it out. I feel like it's in my house. I feel like it's in my eyes. It's everywhere. So I'm struggling a little bit, but tis the season, but it's okay because it's also the season where it's finally warm out and I'll take this if it means I have the will to live and it's going to be bright past 4 p.m.

And I can go outside and enjoy life. So it's fine. We're going to get through it. But yeah,

if I sound a little weird today, I'm struggling. Your girl is struggling. That sniffle was for

dramatic effect. Don't worry. I'm not going to do that the whole episode. But today, we are

continuing our Heartbreak Horror Month by talking about a movie that

I feel like has a lot of mixed reviews. And this is a movie that on the surface, it seems like,

like if you gave the description of it, I feel like you'd be like, oh, Sydney wouldn't like that.

And I thought going into it that I wouldn't like it. And I watched it and I was just

so enamored and almost hypnotized by this movie, both in the plot and also just this is one of the

most visually beautiful and visually satisfying movies I've ever seen in my life. The coloring in

this movie, just the way that it shot, the imagery in it, it is so weirdly trippy

and also weirdly nostalgic as a 90s kid and just it's beautiful. I love watching this movie.

I could watch this movie on silent. Like I just love physically looking at it. It's so beautiful.

But of course we're talking about I Saw the TV Glow, which came out in 2024. And this movie is about an hour and 40 minutes long. And it has a 5.8 on IMDB and an 85% on Rotten Tomatoes. And I actually think that perfectly illustrates how divided people are over this movie because a 5.8 is not great,

right? Like, it's not terrible for a horror movie, I guess. But that's like a 58% versus an 85% on Rotten Tomatoes, which I think is very damn good for a horror movie. So it's interesting how even the

critics are divided on this one. I, again, went into this thinking I'd be on the side of people who didn't like it.
