We really appreciate all the sales, all the people

especially all the reviews coming in on Amazon and Goodreads. So please keep up

those reviews matters so much to us. But one of the most common questions that we get from parents who are really, really

wanting to do better by their girls is what do I do about church? And what we found in She Deserves Better is that church attendance is good. It really is. You know going to church gives you better self-esteem long run it gives you better marriages

better sex lives it's wonderful and multiple studies have found this but we also

found that when girls internalize toxic beliefs about modesty, about consent, about boundaries,

that the benefits of church attendance disappear and they end up worse off than if they had never gone to church at all.

And so I've got so many women saying to me,

I don't want bad stuff for my girls, but I have no idea

how to find a healthy church.

Well, there is another woman who has gone through this and who

is written extensively about it, and that is Beth Allison Barr, my good friend, and I asked if she would be willing to come on the

podcast and talk to us about how to find that healthy church space.

And so I'm so glad that she said yes, and here is Beth.
