Each week I will review one entry in the bibliography of Stephen King and the chronological order of publication.

And what you're going to get out of this week's episode is a review of maximum overdrive.

But here is a just a little note at the beginning so as

because it's pretty fun.

But aside from getting a review today of maximum overdrive, there are also some news bits and some rumors which had occurred at the time of publication,

which, again, was almost a decade ago.

So it's fun to live in that space, but I just want everyone to be aware that if I'm talking

about Josh Boone writing the talisman for Amblin

entertainment, that was me almost a decade ago talking about that possibility. This is not coming

from 2006. But the review of maximum overdrive is timeless. So please enjoy that, everyone.

So what we're going to talk about today is the adaptation of Stephen King's, is an adaptation of one of Stephen King's stories from his first collection, Night Shift.

This is an adaptation of one particular short story, an infamous adaptation, if you will,

one that I had decided on the first go-around not to touch.

But after some people have asked me to do it, I decided, hey, what harm is it in reviewing maximum overdrive?

And I have a lot of thoughts on maximum overdrive, so bear with me.

But before I get there, there's a lot to talk about actually in the world of Stephen King right now.

As I'm recording this, it is Friday the 13th Eve, aka Thursday, Friday
