The Hey Girl Podcast was created with sisterhood and storytelling in mind.

I believe we grew distant out of love of some type like I don't want to hurt you.

Loss. Really don't know what's going to trigger that feeling

of grief in any moment and a topic very important to my work self-care.

I'm holding on to this self-care with every ounce of me.

Join us as we journey through sharing together. This week's guest is Dula and business owner Erica Chidi Cohen.

I connected with Erica most likely on social media a few years ago.

There is a positive component to social media and there is a negative.

I will tell my clients I'm like no social media.

I'm like because I think it's so important for us to hold on to our

imagination around what we see the experience looking like. The diversity in the Dula space is kind of scarce.

I love Erica most because she is giving a voice to specifically women of color.

I'm first generation Nigerian Americans.

When it comes to being a Dula in a very white

space I it's a part of my lineage to step into this work and she's a business owner

she is a loving post-partum and pre-birth doula.

More of that is needed.

We need to see more women of color in these spaces,

and Erica is making room for us.
