As a former use-of-force instructor, Dominick also walks us through what does and doesn't qualify as acceptable use of force and gives his advice about how communities and law enforcement officers can get to a better place together. 0:26.7	The climate is very tense and it's very negative and I want to keep bringing voices to the stage here that get to share their experience

0:40.4	So today this particular law enforcement officer is not going to be anonymous. I believe the only one actually that is going to be able to be mentioned by name and that might have something to do with the fact that he's retired he will tell you so

0:59.4	Absolutely Dominic is all. Okay there you go and so we going to have a discussion and kind of go deeper on the issues that we see happening right now with the climate, the public's perception, the maybe mis-education on some things and
1:14.5	misunderstandings the public might have about law enforcement and kind of what he
1:18.7	has seen. He was an active law enforcement officer for 19 years before retiring, works on the East Coast,
1:25.6	worked on the East Coast, right outside of Chicago.
1:29.4	And so I'm looking forward to this conversation so we can learn a little bit more about this
1:33.9	welcome to the show Dominic. Thanks for having me I appreciate this. Now before I
1:38.3	get started you also have kind of been speaking out on social media. You have you set a
1:43.7	podcast you have some other things that you do. When did you get started in that and
1:48.2	what's the typical topic that you cover? I started in 2015. I was on social media and I had a Facebook page that I
1:55.9	was promoting just for some other content and in my area we had a national
2:01.0	incident of a police officer who at the time we thought was murdered by three people.
2:06.8	The case that a lot of people may remember was the Lieutenant Charles GI Joe Glenowethowitz case and this happened in 2015 and on
2:16.5	September 1st of 2015 the information that everybody was given was that
2:20.7	Glenowitz was murdered by three subjects and there was nationwide manhunt. There was
2:26.7	hundreds and hundreds of officers were involved. You know his funeral happened and
