Hello and welcome back to Ackrack. I'm Jed Walpaw and we've got a really interesting

and I think very useful show for you today. I have with me Dr. Jason Chi who is a cardiac anesthesiologist at the

VA Medical Center in Palo Alto, California and has asked himself a really interesting question or he and his colleagues have, which is how long after someone has COVID should we potentially do surgery and anesthesia for them?

And interestingly, I haven't heard this being talked a huge amount about, but I think it's a

question that we have all asked ourselves and will be asking ourselves more and more.

And so I am really excited to have Jason on the show to talk about some of the information they found

and the recommendations they've put together at least for themselves.

And we want to be clear up front that we don't actually this is not a societal guideline we aren't

telling people how to do this in their hospital you should discuss it with your

own hospital committees but it'll be interesting I think for you to hear what

Jason and his colleagues have done and how they got where they got.
