Today's episode is definitely devastating.

We're talking about the lovely bones, which I, I think I said

this in my last episode. I used to watch this movie like pretty frequently when I was young,

and I haven't watched it in at least a decade, probably. Like I have not seen this movie in at least a

decade. And there were things that I forgot. And I also forgot how fucking upsetting it is,

like how absolutely devastating it is and how upsetting even the ending is too. Like I kind of

forgot how that all played out. So yeah, it proceeded to just rip my fucking heart out.

This was the first time I really watched this movie as an adult. So I feel

like I watched it with like a new perspective because the lovely bones came out in 2009,

at which time I was 14, which is actually the age of the main character when she is brutally

murdered. Spoiler alert, but not really, because it's literally established

immediately in the beginning of the movie. That's the whole point in the movie. She's murdered.

And I feel like it should have hit me more than being that age. But, you know, when you're a dumb

teenager, nothing seems like it could ever affect you. You know, you think you're invincible.

But now watching this as an adult,

I was like, holy fuck. Like this movie is fucking devastating. Like this is a tough watch. Holy shit.
