My name is Henry and this week I'm joined by Pink Bike contributor, Taj Mihulich.

Now, Taj, we're doing this getting to no series.

Immediately, as soon as you put the first one out,

there were people already asking for your involvement

to hear a bit more about your story,

which is interesting because you're not,

in the strictest sense, a mountain biker initially,

you at BMXA.

For how long were you pro and when was this period?

I rode pro.

Depends how you count it, but 20 years, 18 years,

starting in the early 90s until, I don't know,

I kind of call the cutoff, say like 12 years ago, I had a pretty bad back

injury slash surgery, and that was sort of when I had to call all my sponsors and tell

them to stop paying me.

Well, so talk to me like the idiot I am.

BMX, was it the big ramp stuff that people might think of in terms of skateboarding,

is it more street stuff? What was your kind of calling within BMX?

I did a bit of everything. I rode park, like the ramps, I rode street, I rode vert, I rode dirt. And if you kind of, I know, if I look back at my career,

there's sort of cycles where I focused more on dirt and focused more on street and kind of almost see the injuries where I like turn direction, you know. I kind of wrote everything. I never

rode the big mega ramp stuff. I was there when Matt Hoffman kind of started that. I never rode the big mega ramp stuff.
