your girl, Sydney. Happy Friday, happy May, happy first episode of Heartbreak Horror Season,

and be prepared to be devastated. Be prepared to have your heart ripped out of your chest

and stomped on. That is the point of this month. We're all in this together. Guys, honestly,

I, so we're talking about Eden Lake today to jump ahead, but I had only ever seen Eden one, even like one time in my life. And it was

probably around like 2012, 2013. It was back in my horror movie Tumblr days when I had

learned about it. And I watched it. And I was like, damn, that's fucking bleak. That is fucking

devastating. Haven't watched it since. Went back to watch it for the second time in my life

for this episode. And my God, what a wonderful movie. I'll never watch it again. I, it hurts too much.

And I, like, even when I watched this when I was younger, 16, 17, I was able to watch things a lot

easier back then. Because as a teenager, you're fucking

stupid. You think you're invincible and like this shit can never happen to me. Watching it as an

adult is so much harder. So watching it the second time, I literally was like, I feel nothing.

I feel numb. I want my mom. I'm scared. It's a fucking doozy. Um, yeah, I purposely started off the month

with this, one just to get it over with, because it is a movie that I have been wanting to talk

about for a while and I have been wanting to revisit. So I'm starting off the month, I guess,

to set the tone and to get it over with because, wow, this is one of the bleakest

and most upsetting movies I've ever seen. And just a warning, if you are going in blind,

you know nothing about it. It is intense. It is devastating. And the ending is not happy.

Like to spoil it ahead of time, like if you think you're going to get a happy ending

after you have to watch all this devastation, it's not going to happen. And that's the worst part of it.
