Hello? Hello, Sydney. What is up, you spooky bitches? We are back with another episode of the Hello Sydney podcast here, a podcast for horror lovers where we discuss any and all things horror and it's me, your sydney happy end of april happy last episode of religious horror month how's everybody been doing what have you guys been up to i'm literally filming this immediately after i just finished filming last week's episode because by the time you guys are hearing this i will be in the uk on the set of Winnie the Pooh, Blood and Honey

0:37.5

Three to go get murdered, which I am so excited about. So I am filming this very much in advance.

0:42.4

So I don't have anything new to say because I told you guys all that last week, because

0:46.2

I'm filming it on the same day. Something I am realizing that I forgot to mention last episode

0:51.2

was that there was a remake made of the Omen in 2006 of like the original Omen.

0:56.6

It stars Julia Stiles and Liv Schreiber as Mr. and Mrs. Thorn. And the only reason I didn't

1:02.5

cover it is because I haven't watched that movie in ages, but I just remember it's like a shot for

1:06.6

shot remake. Like they don't really add anything new. So I feel like it just would have been repetitive.

1:11.5

So that's why I kept it out. But yeah, they did make a remake. But we're not talking about that. Today, we are talking about the sequel to the first Omen, which is called Damien, the Omen 2. And this movie came out in 1978, which is two years after the original. So it was pretty quick. This movie is about an hour and 51 minutes long,

1:28.7

and it has a 6.2 and a 50% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is not terrible for a sequel. And I honestly

1:34.8

don't think this is a bad sequel. But let's just jump right into it. So the Omen 2 opens up with that

1:41.9

chanting choral music again, like we got through the first one.

1:45.5

And we see a man driving through the streets in what looks like some Middle Eastern town.

1:50.9

I think we're in Jerusalem again.

1:52.6

But we eventually see that this man is Bouganagan, the man from the first movie.

1:56.4

And he is actually the only actor to be in two Omen movies.

2:00.7

No other actor reappears because even the

2:03.1

boy who plays Damien in this movie is different from the boy who played Damien in the last

2:07.0

movie because this one takes place like seven years later. His name is Leo McCurn. He is the same

2:11.9

person that plays Bouganagan in the first movie. So we see him and he meets with this guy named

2:17.3

Michael and he shows this guy

2:18.7

Michael a picture of Damien in the paper. And the article is about what happened to Mr. and Mrs.
