blast i have so much fun every time i go there and no matter how times you go, I feel like there's always something new to do, like a new place you haven't gone into yet because there's just so much going on at all times. I had an absolute blast movies to look out for. Number one, Hocum. My number one of this festival was Hocom because I had seen Hocom at Southby and I really liked it. I gave it a four out of five stars. I thought it was great. When I tell you, Hocom on the rewatch hits so much differently and so much better. And that's not just for me. Everybody that I was with that had already seen it at Southby, we all came out of it, the second, giving it five stars. Every single one of us, we were like, okay, so this is a fucking masterpiece. And I love movies like that. We're like, the more that you watch it, the more you catch and the more you can appreciate. That's what Hocom is. So honestly, again, I loved Hocom the first time. some people I were with were like, okay, yeah, it was fine. Second time a masterpiece.

So if you go and you see Hocum and you don't like it, give it a second shot eventually because there is so much more that you pick up on. And like, I feel like I had some unanswered questions

1:38.4

after the first rewatch, but then going into the second watch, knowing what to look for and what

1:42.9

to expect, all those questions

1:44.4

were answered. I fucking love Hocum. It's a fucking masterpiece. I can't wait to watch it again and see

1:49.5

what else I pick up on. My favorite after that was this Japanese movie called Never After Dark.

1:54.4

It begins like a Japanese version of insidious. And then the way that it goes, there's like this

2:00.7

plot twist in it that makes it like a completely different story. And then the way that it goes, there's like this plot twist in it that makes

2:02.0

it like a completely different story. And it kind of gives haunting of hillhouse vibes in a specific

way. And huge fan of it. Huge fan of it. Loved it. I think shutter picked it up. So it might be

2:13.5

hitting shutter soon. I lied. I'm not sure anybody's picked it up yet, but I'm sure somebody will

2:18.0

after one of these festivals because every time it's at a festival, it gets a lot of buzz. So hopefully somebody will be picking it up soon because that movie deserves to be seen. It's very good. Oh, I also really loved exit eight, guys. I saw exit eight and I, like, the more I think about it, the more I like it. That's another one that you're watching it and you're like, okay,

2:35.7

this gets a little bit repetitive, But then you realize like this is about like the repetitiveness and like monotony of life and trying to escape that. And like you can always start over. And it just becomes like something completely different and like really beautiful. I really, really enjoyed ExitDate again. Like liminal space shit is right up

my alley. It made me feel like I was suffocating at points. So big fan of Exotate. What I was not a big
