Hello, everyone, welcome to the Stephen King cast when Man's Musings on the Works of Stephen King.

Each week I'll review one entry in the bibliography of Stephen King in the chronological order of publication, and this week I am happy to announce that I am reviewing Stephen King's latest novel, his newest publication, The Outsider, which was published on May 22nd, 2018, as I'm recording this.

It is June 2nd, so I, while reading this, I had to balance the rush to get through it,

to get this episode out, the same time I wanted to savor every single moment that I had with

this book and the story and these

characters. So here I am and I'm happy to be here and I hope that you guys enjoy this episode.

For those of you who have not finished The Outsider, I would say wait until you finish the

outsider before reading or listening to

this episode. And I don't really want to give too much information away so early in my review.

But if you haven't read the three books of the Mr. Mercedes trilogy, I would say you need to actually read those before you read The Outsider.

I strongly encourage it.

And if you have not read Mr. Mercedes, finders keepers, and end of watch, I would not listen to this review going forward.

I would say that there are four

books that you would need to read, the three Mercedes books, and then the outsider in order for you

to be able to truly appreciate what King is doing with the outsider. And I'll just say that for now

without getting into too many spoilers. So this was a book that I was really looking forward to.

I mean, I look forward to every Stephen King book, but in leading up to the release date,

I just found myself, you know, just thinking, okay, you know, it's late spring, summer's on

its way.

I mean, this is a perfect time to just sit down and read a good Stephen King book.

And, you know, the days were approaching, the days were approaching. And then I realized, you know,
