Com where we like to talk about healthy, evidence-based, biblical advice, figure sex life, and

your marriage. And on this podcast we tackle some pretty important issues. Sometimes we laugh often we go

deep into research and sometimes we have guests on that are heavy but they tell us

stuff that's really important and this week is one such week.

A few weeks ago we had an amazing woman on the podcast who told us her story

of how she was repeatedly raped in marriage and then when she went to her church for help,

they actually put her under church discipline for wanting to escape from her rapist.

And since then, I have heard from so many many women it's like the floodgates

opened and I've been inundated by email upon email of women with similar

stories where they were victims of sexual abuse in their marriage, they went to their churches and the church sided

with the husband and told the woman that she had no right to leave him or get divorced

and that she instead needed to submit more and give him more sex.

This is the kind of thing that makes me really angry.

But church, there's a lot of things that are making,

that are giving me hope too, because I have also heard from people who say you know I took that one page

download of every man's battle and I showed it to my church and we took it out of the church library.

Or churches, even some conservative denominations

that have been using great sex rescue

as their sermon prep, which is just wonderful
