Anyway, in this episode, I'll be discussing the veritable Asian blitz undertaken in the Pacific

by the Japanese in 1941.

Pearl Harbor is often thought of as being an isolated event,

but in reality it was only a single move in a coordinated series of invasions and attacks

that the Japanese undertook in the hours immediately after and preceding the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

Pearl and invaded Wake in the Philippines as we discussed last time, but also

began their invasions of British Malaya, the Dutch East Indies, and Thailand, and

later bombed Darwin and engaged in a naval campaign in the Indian Ocean. It was a
