this week on a roommate podcast.

One of the first things we establish in the book

is that you get three wishes for your ideal partner, right?

And while this is going a sound like common sense,

what we find is that, so I can class I do this exercise,

I'd say, everybody write down everything you want in your ideal romantic partner.

And they would sit there for, you know, five minutes. you want in your ideal romantic partner.

And they would sit there for five minutes,

and they would write like 20, 25 things, right?

Great, why not?

And then I'd bring up someone random, someone would volunteer their anonymized form, and we would then go down how many people they would eliminate based on those wishes.

So let's say it was a heterosexual

female student and she wanted a tall guy. Now if there were a hundred single guys in

a room just by probability,

any of those guys would have to sit down and walk out.

Exactly.

Because only 20% of men in the US are six-foot or taller.

But we make these criteria without thinking about how that narrow is our field dramatically.

And what we would always find is that in a room of 150 or 200 people,

after three wishes, it was down to one person if not a fraction of a person. Yo, what's good everybody, this is I fees from the roommates podcast and I am in the lovely New York
