Hi everyone, welcome to Add Home with Sally. I'm Sally Clarkson and I have the biggest

privilege in the world to be with so many friends from all over the world who join me every

week to listen to my stories, inspiration, biblical encouragement, and I am just so glad

that you're here today. Thanks so much for joining me.

Hi friends, it's Sally Clarkson again and I am in Colorado trying really hard to sit still

because we are having a heat wave. All the people in my neighborhood don't even have air

conditioning because we are at 7200 feet high and sometimes in the summer it gets down to

the 40s and so we are used to cool weather and today we are having 94 degrees without air

conditioning. So you can imagine what our home is feeling like today. Today is one of my very

favorite chapters. I say that a lot though, but I think that next to discipleship which is

really reaching our children's heart with modeling to them, a love for God, our engagement and

spiritual things, the reality of our integrity and so on. We talked about last week, but the way

that we really communicate most effectively, the one foundation without which we won't have any

influence in our children's lives, the most important thing that's like the oxygen that our hearts

and souls need is learning to become the mom who has a strong friend, building relationships with

our children. I love this passage and I've read it for other issues this summer. A lot of times you

might think that I'm repeating things and a lot of it is because a lot of the verses intertwine,

a lot of the wisdom is throughout scripture and many things are worth being repeated. But before I

get into this, I just want to say thank you. Clay and I came home after our administration team had

been doing a lot of things in the past few months and we're just now getting to the end of some of the

six-month financial issues and all of the different things that have been stored in our office.
