0:30.1	Hello, everyone, and welcome back to the podcast. Today's episode is episode 179, and it's part two of the two-part series covering Charles I. Speasel, the zany accountant from New York, who testified at the Clayshaw trial.

0:47.2	jump right in. So, without further ado, let's listen to episode 179 of JFK, The Enduring Secret. Judge Haggerty ordered the jury and all principles in the trial to be taken to the scene,
1:29.2	the corner of Dauphine and Esplanade, stipulating that no testimony be given until the trial resumed in the courtroom.
1:38.3	With that, the rush was on.
1:40.4	Manic spirits were reminiscent of the last day of school in June.
1:44.5	The corridor outside the courtroom rang with shouts of,
1:48.4	How you going? Want a ride? See you down there.
1:52.5	And bring a box lunch.
1:55.1	Some of the hanging ladies risked their necks,
1:57.6	trotting down the marble hall toward the stairway in their high heels.
2:02.4	My Simon & Schuster friend, John Moraine, drove a few of us, including Bruce Eglar,
2:07.9	a bright young student I had taken on to assist in research to the quarter in his car.
2:13.5	Esplanade is a wide, attractive street divided in the center by a raised grassy stretch planted with trees, called the neutral ground in New Orleans, and it forms the lower boundary of the French quarter.
2:26.6	Dauphin, a much narrower street, intersects Esplanade and runs the length of the quarter to the city's main street,
2:35.1	canal.
2:36.5	Court had recessed for this scavenger hunt at 10.30 a.m.
2:41.0	By 11, the corner of Dauphina Esplanade could easily have been mistaken for the scene of a major accident.
2:48.0	Traffic was backed up for blocks, and the natives of the quarter. In holiday mood
