There was only one answer to rising racial tension, and that's to de-escalate.

And do what we have done and tried to do for hundreds of years, which has worked

for colorblind meritocracy and treat people as human beings created by God.

I am joined by Irami Osay-Fremppong.

He's been on the podcast before is one of the people I most enjoy talking to because

he doesn't mind getting in the weeds and saying and expressing thoughts, feelings and opinions

that are controversial.

And we are in a controversial moment right now as the country is reeling on the aftermath

of two shootings last weekend, both of which are identity motivated, only one of which

is racially motivated and we can unpack that a little bit later.

Irami, you reached out to me saying that the last conversation we had on this podcast

in the wake of the Kyle Rittenhouse shooting was vindicated.

Your take was vindicated by this.
