Summary

If we want to experience the blessing of God and have a sense of wholeness to our lives: we must seek to understand his original design as clearly as possible. We will then have a map by which to travel toward God's destination. But we need to do more than understand. We also need to commit to living as mothers with undivided hearts—dedicating ourselves fully to the task of building a home and nurturing our children.

0:44.6	design. And I already recorded some stories that I think you will love that have to do with
0:51.3	this whole issue, but I kind of just wanted to add something that I don't think I've ever done
0:56.0	before. And that is not only do I want all of you to know that I think you have freedom and grace
1:03.0	to make decisions based on the scriptures that we've talked about, but I just wanted to talk a tiny
1:08.4	bit about my own story. It's my story, it's not a scripture, it's not a rule that you have to follow,
1:16.9	but I wrote it out in Mission of Motherhood as whole-hearted mothering in a half-hearted society.
1:24.0	In my membership that I've been teaching in the past months, I've been teaching in the book of
1:29.7	Hebrews and I was preparing my last talk in Hebrews today and I was realizing that God calls us to
1:37.7	his holiness, to be excellent for his glory, to live for his kingdom. And I do have a talk about
1:43.9	the kingdom in the membership for next month. But as I was reflecting on that, I thought I just should
1:50.6	probably share with you that when I prayed and prayed about it and I thought about my children
1:56.8	as disciples that God had placed into my hands and I wanted to really provide for them the best
2:03.4	spiritual foundation, the best emotional foundation in every way. Then I realized that for me,
2:14.1	the choice as I looked at all these things my faith was to stay home, to devote my life to
2:21.6	the raising of my children, the dear discipleship of my children. It didn't mean I didn't work because
2:26.8	I did work. I have written multitude of books, I've spoken the weekends, I have done blogs and
2:34.7	podcasts. I did the kind of work that I was able to do while staying home. But the point of my life
